Citabria Prop Nick/Gouge/Scrap? Backside

Found this on my prop while preflighting this morning. Way forward?

I believe an A&P would have to measure its depth/width and if it is within limits the gouge would be sanded smooth and feathered out into the surrounding area before being painted over.
