I've used Foreflight for VFR flying, it's got too much functionality to list here and it can be overwhelming if you just want it to be a tool to make VFR flying safer. PROBLEM SOLVED! The webinar should cover the basics of using Foreflight for VFR flight ops, definitely worth a look and easy to incorporate into your routines with an iPad mini and kneeboard or cockpit mount.

I might look into it if they have made the bearings and track numbers big enough to see without changing to granny glasses.
 
Maybe there's a font size adjustment option? Would be a good question after the webinar if they take questions.
 
Foreflight rocks, a wee bit overpriced these days but still rocks, I also keep all my aircraft documents scanned as PDFs in it and also use it as my logbook, very handy

Per the font size, wonder if that’s a setting one can adjust on the iPhone setting area
