We've noticed that pretty consistently our 7ECA develops an imbalance in the fuel tanks on flights in which we conduct spins (now, before you tell me to stop spinning, we're an aerobatic flight school and spin just about every day).
We start almost all acro/spin flights with 1/2 full tanks both left and right. After a spin flight, we'll find the left tank indicating just above E and the right tank at almost 1/2.
We think its somehow due to spins because we'll closely watch the fuel tanks throughout the flight; they'll remain even during other aerobatic maneuvers; but after just a few spins we'll have more than 1/4 tank difference between the left and right tanks.
We've worked through the Uneven Fuel Burn troubleshooting guide from the ACA FAQs and didn't find a smoking gun.
Alright experts! Any ideas?
