$25,000 — Offered as a complete package

Modernize your American Champion with a complete IFR glass panel currently installed and flying in my 2004 Scout. Installed in 2016, this package includes ILS, VOR, and GPS approach capability, primary and standby flight displays, synthetic vision, and digital engine monitoring.

This has been an excellent panel. I’m replacing it to incorporate an autopilot option that became available after the original panel build.

SEE IT OPERATING BEFORE REMOVAL

The panel is still in regular use and available for inspection before the airplane heads to the factory. A visit can be arranged in Indiana or Tennessee, as I’ll be flying between both states.

FACTORY REMOVAL — NOVEMBER / DECEMBER 2026

Technicians at the American Champion Aircraft factory in Rochester, Wisconsin, will carefully remove the panel and tag the components. The package includes the equipment listed below, associated mounting racks and trays, connectors, wiring harnesses and associated wiring, and the CGR-30P engine instrument probes and sensors.

All preserved original installation paperwork and manuals are included.

EQUIPMENT INCLUDED

• Custom ACA-cut, powder-coated aluminum panel with equipment-specific cutouts
• Garmin GTN 750 navigator
• Garmin GDL 88
• Garmin Flight Stream 210
• Garmin GTR 225 COM radio
• Garmin GMA 35 remote audio panel
• Garmin GTX 32 remote transponder
• Aspen Evolution 1000 Pro PFD with synthetic vision and all options activated, including angle of attack
• Mid-Continent dual USB-A charger/timer
• L3 ESI-500 standby display with all options activated, including synthetic vision
• L3 magnetometer for the standby display
• Electronics International CGR-30P digital engine monitor, including probes and sensors

The Aspen received a fresh internal backup battery in May 2026. Backup operating times have been tested on both the Aspen and L3 ESI-500.

THOUGHTFUL PANEL LAYOUT

Space on the left accommodates an iPad Mini or other portable electronic device. The iPad Mini pictured is available as an optional addition.

Switches are physically separated and color-coded to distinguish normal in-flight controls from startup/shutdown controls. Circuit breakers are located over the pilot’s left shoulder to keep the panel uncluttered.

INSTALLATION OPTIONS

Use your preferred avionics shop, or arrange with ACA to bring your airplane to the factory for installation—allowing the equipment to transfer without ever leaving the premises. Installation cost, scheduling, aircraft fit, and approval requirements are to be confirmed with the installing shop.

PURCHASE TERMS

$10,000 deposit, with the remaining $15,000 due after removal. Purchase and deposit terms will be documented in writing.

Please message me with questions, for additional photos, or to arrange a look at the panel while it’s still installed and operating.

That would be impressive in a King Air! What is your mission in this rather well-equipped taildragger?
