Flush door fitment

Am I missing something? I have what appears to be a fiberglass flush door. It fits the opening fine but the trailing edge is nowhere near reaching the latch opening. What holds the door closed when the latch is an inch away from touching??

Champ or Citabria? I had a door that I bought second hand thinking it would fit a Citabria. Turns out it was too big but fit a Champ.

That might be the answer I was looking for. I thought the door had been used on this fuselage but I got it as a project so it may have never been on. The door opening is Champ. Guess I may have a door for sale. LOL
