How fast? Shouldn't a Decathlon outrun a Carbon Cub?

Admittedly my Dec is slower than some - 120 kts at 7500', maybe 10 gph. Don't get up that high very often these days.

Buddy has an X-Cub. Lots of power, 3 bladed C/S prop, 31" tires - same wingspan as a Super Cub. Lots of fairings, aluminum gear legs, but still -
He says 140 Kts on 10 gph.

My Dec looks lots, lots less draggy. What am I missing?

To my untrained eye, the Decathlon has such a tall and vertical windshield that I think that is where a lot of its drag is when I look at it.
