Looking for a Super Decathlon

I find it annoying when people don’t post the price. He says, “serious inquiries only”. Well how can you know how serious you are if there is no number to even start with?
 
Not that I am in the market, but I rarely pay attention to ads with no price listed. Once in a while folks sell parts and honestly don't know what they are worth. "Make offer" is an example. Those are ok with me.

I personally have lost track of Decathlon prices. I bought mine for 43, and one not as nice but with fresh overhaul engine/prop sold for $118K recently. I am insured for 70, but might be under insured? Engine is high time . . .
 
Not really breaking news, that plane has been for sale for at least several months. He probably wants closer to $400k and the incentive is, you don't have to wait a year for a new one.

If it was 300k I would consider it, but probably still wouldn't buy it, because I hate the paint scheme.

I was getting discouraged by unavailability and prices of newer used Decathlons and did a complete 180. I bought a Spirit Engineering just to have something in the hangar to fly and will keep looking for a clean single seat something to scratch my aerobatic itch. Don't really have a need for a 2 place plane, other than it's nice to have the option.
