Hey folks I'm Rod from gonzales la, currently a student in training for my PPL, I fly out of KREG. In the process of purchasing a 1946 7AC and I can't wait! It has a 0-200 in it. It goes for annual in a couple weeks and in the meantime I'll be getting someone lined up for my tailwheel endorsement. Looking forward to learning from here. Cheers!

7ACs are one of the top aircraft I’ve ever flown and i got a few lol

Be interested in a PIREP on the 200, I have a A65 which is ample for my ops, be interested in the power vs weight/range

Also yeah, you got spar inspections now ;)

Biggest problem is no increase in max gross.
Heavy engine and note the right fuel tank.

BUT IT WILL BE FUN!!

I don't recall exactly what it was, but it certainly did increase. I was reading through the logs with him when I went look at it. Has the extra tank in wing also.

I wish I could remember the prop - wood, Sensenich, fiberglas tips (or plastic?) - straight up! I swear it would out-climb a 160 Super Cub. It was covered with lightweight Stitts, but had two wing tanks.
Cruise? Lucky to get 80 - all the way from Denver. But a great trip.
