On tires (and dates)

Did a quick search on CAROL, went off “Aeronca” and the cause had the word “brakes” in it

Seems the cause of these events has been too much brakes, not too little

Wouldn’t taking off the wheel and cleaning and lubing all the moving parts of the brakes help them to work better? I’ve never seen them but what brakes don’t benefit from a good cleaning?

I went to look at the wheels one more time waiting on the tires to get in, noticed some paint damage on the back of the struts, pulled the brake line with one finger and HOLY SLACK Batman!
They don’t feel how they look from a ops standpoint

Thinking of taking the slack out from the wheel end

Thoughts? Thanks

How much pedal travel do you want?
Taking the slack out will shorten the travel and be more sensitive.
The cable will still slap the strut.

I can adjust to sensitivity, but it didn’t damage the paint till recently 🤔
