I did not buy from ACA. they did not have any in stock, and they said they got theirs from Mitchell, so I ordered from Mitchell via Aircraft Spruce. Mitchell called to verify my arcs, and said they had ACA factory faces, so I said I'll take one of those. I want to say the tach was around $250, with another $50 for the pre-printed face and a small charge to have the hours set.
It is hard to appreciate how smooth and stable a new tach is until you compare it to an old one that is going bad. Rock steady, no needle oscillation at all, makes it easy to get an accurate reading. Just as precise as digital, IMO.
