Wow, That is a GREAT idea !!!!

Just install a Backup Alarm for a truck under the dash with Velcro, and a cigarette lighter plug, and when they turn on the power, that will scare them away, and maybe someone will hear it! They won't know what is going on! At worse case, you will have a dead battery.

I think I may just do that. It is a temp installation that can be removed in seconds. No Mods required.

Mr. Bean used to take the steering wheel off his Mini before he locked it up.

I think our small taildraggers are safer than stick shift cars, dial phones and 8 track tapes. Unless it’s useful for smuggling (or terrorism if you listen to the TSA) it is unlikely to get stolen. Tools from your hangar or gas maybe. Someone did try to steal a car from one of the airplane shelters where my Decathalon is but they got stuck trying to drive through the fence
 
For complete piece of mind I installed 7.5 amp circuit breaker switch in the starter wire, however on was off and off was on and clearly labeled so. :) Cheers, Brian
