Who Plans to Compete in an IAC Contest this year???

It is legal to convert to 160 hp, and those definitely accept fuel injection. So would that be legal? The type certificate says nothing about carburetion, so is it the engine TC that governs?
Sure - but at that point, it's just easier to sell and buy a 7KCAB.

Me at the Corvallis (OR) Corkscrew contest on either 18 or 19 July, flying the Sportsman Known. I'd flown in June at our WA Apple Cup contest and I'm planning on flying at our WA Apple Turnover contest the first week of September. We were granted a Long Term waiver for our permanent (concrete markers) aerobatic box at the Ephrata Municipal Airport (KEPH) in eastern Washington just before Apple Cup. The waiver enables us to host three days of practice in the aerobatic box (M-Tu-W) before contest registration starts on Thursday for the Fr-Sa contest. Those dates are 1-3 and 4-6 Sep. We might have as many as 5 SuperDs competing at Apple Turnover! A few years ago a pilot in an acro Citabria smoked all of the SuperD pilots in Sportsman. Details on the IAC Contest Calendar and at our website Chapters | Apple Turnover 2025. We've added online fee payment, hangar rent payment, and a link for hotel reservations.
