Aircraft wiring, terminal ends, crimpers and how to use them

i'm pretty sure I had to buy a heavier gauge crimper for the larger wires. it isn't a battery terminal crimper but just made for larger insulated terminal ends.
i can grab a pic when i go to the hangar later

I used the battery terminal crimper on #8 wire last night ... worked fine. Found some uninsulated butt splices for #8 so I think I'm good.

right. with that size there are the insulated terminals and battery terminals. it's hard to find the correct insulated terminals at the aircraft places but ACA uses a part that can be found at online electronics supply places so I went with that.
