Ceconite still requires removal to nitrate. I am in Florida so blushing is a concern. Right now it is 95 degrees with 95 percent humidity.
I looked closer at the plane finish yesterday while picking it up from the prebuy. Wings look great but it has some real problem spots on the fuselage. If I had any sense I would do a recover soon. However, for the near term there are other things I would like to spend the money on, so am going to try and resurrect the coating with TLC and elbow grease. Not too concerned about cosmetics, a 30 footer is fine with me.
Will probably shoot the fuse with rejuvenator this fall, then start working through repairs one crack at a time. There's an older guy over at Winter Haven who is well known for covering experience, has written articles for EAA, app going to have him take a look if willing.
