Working on a 7ECA. Anyone have advice on sourcing fuel primer line for cylinder #3. Copper line has cracked off near cylinder fitting. ACA says they only have line from pump to t-fitting. I did find one at Texas Air Salvage.

Was also curious if anyone replaces with lycoming steel lines per 0-235 parts manual.

In the olden days it was standard auto copper line, with auto fittings. I forget what the fittings are called, but they have a tiny ferrule that slips over the line, and is tightened by the flare inside the threaded fittings.

Thanks Bob, one side has what you described but the other end connected to cylinder not same.

Might try unsoldering that thing. The other option is get a new fitting - it is all 1/8 NPT where it goes into the actual airplane parts.

These lines are not quite as critical as the stainless injector lines, which need to be silver-soldered.

The 0-235 on this plane only has primer lines to #4 and #3 which are each ~25" long from the t-fitting. Lycoming also has Service Instruction 1301 which addresses replacing fuel lines (injector and primer lines) but it would mean changing to 4 primer steel primer lines per parts manual.
