Garmin GTR-200 GTR-205 non-TSO radios

After all that, the noise came back. Swapped headsets, and no noise. We use DC 10-13.4 or 13.S exclusively. I have to ask David Clark.
 
So a buddy just bought a GNC-215. This is a fairly complex radio with VOR LOC GS in it. I shudder to think of hooking it up and learning how to operate it.

The original manuals do not mention intercom, but there is a service bulletin that addresses an ICS, presumably done with a software update.
His radio was delivered last week from Spruce (forgot to tell him about Stein) and I find myself wondering if he got the latest update.

I assume that if the enclosed operating handbook addresses it he has the update. If this is an older radio from the inventory, it will not have it, and I suspect a trip to the factory will be necessary. Anybody here with recent experience on the 205/215 radios?
 
I just installed a 205 this winter in my 180. The local avionics shop updated it to the latest wiz bang options..... It's all software these days. Check with your local shop before sending it to garmin
