Upgrade Time - what are your thoughts?

You might consider replacing that Collins radio. I replaced mine with a GTR-225 last fall. Standby monitoring and flip/flop is the bomb. I'm not IFR so I yanked out my intercom and use the one built into the radio. Bob Turner on this board has installed the GTR-200 (cheaper experimental version) and says it also performs well.

Is that mechanical DG electric or vacuum?
