Flew the Champ again today. Outside temp was 0 deg. COLD!!!! Cylinder temp hung around 360 deg and oil temp warmed up to 130 deg. Good to go.

OK, one more report. Flew for two hours yesterday. Outside temp was mid 30's. CHT stayed about 380 deg. Oil Temp was around 175. Oil PSi was at about 25 at that temp. I want to inform you that along with the outlet blockoff plate that I made I also have the oil sump blanket and intake tube blankets installed from WagAero. Forgot to state that before. I trimmed a little more off the rear of the plate to give it a little bit more airflow so I can continue to fly as the weather gets warmer without having to remove and reinstall the plate as the Temp varies.

Here's two photos I saved from somewhere to show you the area blocked off. My guess is that this might be too much to close off, but it gives you an idea of what it may look like and the attachments.

I had to cut off about two inches on the rear of mine so I had some wiggle room as the outside temp varies. I do feel with your's being blocked off all the way like in the picture the oil temp may get too high. But who knows.
