The club still hasn't happened. I had posted to the FB group asking for leads on 7ECA's that might be for sale with the hope of finding a good one for a club and the owner of the green Decathlon responded instead. I couldn't pass it up! It might become a partnership with friends of mine but, so far, nobody has pulled the trigger on buying a share.

Flew a slightly faster plane than my 7GCBC up to the Wives' family Thanksgiving.

Hope you don't mind me asking - do all those wives get along well?
And what a neat second airplane. Whatever you do for a living, it has to be lucrative.

I've never been the best at grammar. Wasn't until just now did I realize I typed wives, plural, instead of wife's. LOL.

Welp,

Looks like I have sold the Champ. This is probably my last flight in it. Repositioning to a strip 40 miles South so it didn’t get snowed in.
Lake George from the South end. We have had a bunch of fun in this little plane. Kind of sad to see it go. No money has changed yet, so it could still go to crap…

Pete

My hangar-mate, Bill, and I went to Allen Airstrip (N39J), a private grass strip just west of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in NJ for their monthly pancake breakfast today. It's open to the public and it's held the second Saturday of every month but it was our first time there for it. The airport property is a section of what used to be a much larger farm owned by the family which, in the past, included a pretty expansive collection of antique farm equipment but which is now limited to the airport, a canteen building, and a small collection of museum aircraft in the main hangar.

The museum presently has a J3 Cub, a 65hp Pitts S-1C, Stearman, 1930 Fairchild KR-21 biplane, and a little experimental that I don't recall the type. It was too cold to linger outside for very long so we headed home after eating and taking a quick walk through the hangar. Everyone was very nice and I'll be back when it's warmer!
