Bruce 79 ECA recover

Thanks Ed is this under the interior panel at the controls? I don’t remember seeing one there.
No, it is on the trim tab. A #10 screw and nut through the frame so that it contacts the trim tab horn at max range. You can see it in the attached photo, just below the horn.

Welll getting so close just received seat covers from Airetex today, ordered at Airventure so all that’s left is weight and balance the wing root panels, then the storybook log book entries and I think 4 337 and weight on the FAA to clear the registration. 2F3341F9-24BB-4834-80F5-B1A753A6B01B.webp6858EC25-1142-45D9-B9C2-5EBEAF7BE3B4.webp02552FB6-5423-4971-8B17-19E15CA1AB3E.webp6858EC25-1142-45D9-B9C2-5EBEAF7BE3B4.webp02552FB6-5423-4971-8B17-19E15CA1AB3E.webp

Just remember the trim tab operates reverse of what it's called out...I can't tell you how many elevator trim tabs I've seen installed backwards!
Ditto when setting max trim tab angles...the limits in the TCDS state "tab up" and "tab down". This indicates the actual tab travel direction, not the tab function.
I realize this is basic stuff that everyone already knows but sometime it's the simple stuff that causes problems 🙃.

Hello to all that followed this thread, I finally received the registration on this plane about mid July after sending it in in December. But all is well I was out west and returned Late September and so far have had 3 flights trying to get some hours. Found out I sure am rusty after no tail time in 15 years or so. Now to chasing out the little stuff like the stick being off center, the ball showing needing light left rudder. but it runs like a charm. Now I will be placing this for sale after I work out the bugs because I made an offer on another project, not excepted yet but more than likely will be. so wife says something has to go, before the next project. So if you know someone interested let them know and send me a PM.
Thanks for following.
