Easy- you can use the factory method - your 337 will check the “major repair” box. Or you can use the Stitts STC. Your 337 will check the “major alteration” box. You cannot mix and match. Unless you are a renegade.
 
Ah yes...the Tripacer! One of my favorite civilian birds of all time...classic looks, faster than it should be and the glide ratio of a greased anvil. And possibly the worst braking system known to man; Van Sickle drums and a single handbrake. Bill Piper really needed to have someone shot over that! 🧐 But a lovely bird.
