Sorry - no photos. Too busy flying. Yesterday was all Stearman, today split between Chief and Cub.

Yes, my Decathlon would not legally lift a 300 lb'er and me. Pretty sure it would fly just fine (shhh).

Weighing Champs is apparently not risky. Do not try that with Cubs. We think somebody had a finger on the scales at the Piper factory. Weighing a Cub converts it to a very nice single place airplane.

I just bought a video camera for use in the plane, but no one really wants to see pictures of me in the cockpit... (Trust me on that one - as a long-time radio guy here in Dallas used to say, "I've got a face for radio.") I've gotta figure out how to mount it so it's looking out the front over my shoulder or something. Meanwhile, you can see my plane (before wheel pants removal) in my avatar...

Do you have the control switches above and to the left of the pilot in your 7ECA? What kind of camera?

Yes, I have the CB/Switch panel over the left shoulder.
The view I'm looking for is more like option 2 above - kind of a "pilot's eye view".
The camera has the same mount attachment as the GoPro, but it's an "Alpha S".

I achieve the upper one with a standard go-pro handlebar mount, clamping to the diagonal brace that goes across the cabin top (I have a skylight). I am curious to see how that lower one was rigged too.

I have the little cube hero 4 session and put it literally all over the airplane.
The bottom pic is the suction mount at the top rear of the windscreen. It can be pointed down to my lap or behind me as well. The same shot all the time is boring so I change depending on the subject. A small flat gopro self stick is over my shoulder. What is an Alpha ‘S’ if I may ask? (btw, I call my camera my ‘black box’.) Also I am really a tech klutz but I get by.🤔

Alpha S is a camera very similar to the GoPro Hero 5, but I bought it through one of the "startup" websites. It was less than half the cost, and has a much longer battery life, higher resolution, better image stabilization, etc. (All the things one gets when one buys 6-12 months later...) I just bought some memory cards for it, so I'll get to test it out soon. Meanwhile, I've gotta get a couple of camera mounts...

I've put about 2.5 hours on my plane since the annual was signed off. Yesterday I got five laps of the pattern in the evening. I had hoped for one of those calm evenings but didn't get one. It was a bit of a workout but someone had to do it.

I attended an annual fly in yesterday. Probably 25 planes and only three had the extra wheel on the wrong end.

Closest relative to my Citabria was a real nice Champ

I have always wanted a Luscombe

My hangar neighbor has this really nice C180. He kicked my a** both directions. I'm just beyond his plane in this picture. The J-3 with pants was flawless.

@aftCG were those taken using a tripod and HDR? or are you doing some sort of post-processing? do tell! :)
They are hand held cell phone pics taken with my early model Google Pixel. I do my post processing on the device with an app called Snapseed.
I have done many bracketed exposures on my DSLR on a tripod, run them though Lightroom and program for layering the bracketed RAW images into HDR. It produces better images, but like a lot of things "the best *** is the one you have with you".

These next two were done the hard way. Biggest F stop I can get that will still bracket, exposures of 20-30 seconds each.

I spent Friday and Saturday polishing this beast in preparation for the Arlington airshow. I attempted to fly my Citabria to swap it for a week but the cumulous clouds over the mighty Cascade mountains forced me to perform the coolest maneuver in aviation: the 180 degree turn.
Hoping the weather is better Wednesday morning so I can try again
