That last one... wow, Canada!
Here is the Oregon coast, during a very brief break in our annual 8-month-long rainy spell:

First time flying the Decathlon since late July. Completed the engine break in flight yesterday. Field was still a bit soft so some of it ended up on the windscreen.

What’s on the end of your pitot? Mine is just the tube, nothing attached like yours appears to have.
My pitot is like the upper one, it has a metal cover to keep bugs out when it's sitting on the ground. Gravity closes it, but it automatically flips open when it's in the slipstream. It's 1930's clever!

What is up with the second, lower pitot? I haven't seen that before.

Oregon and Northern California are a must see for light plane drivers. I haven't flown that close to Jefferson, but a quick trip down the Columbia, past Hood, through the gorge, then down past Shasta, is not to be missed. Low and slow; a Mooney is only half the fun.

I think I have maybe five such Cub flights, and two in Citabriae. Stunning!

That was on the way to taking my Decathlon to S39 for my first ever annual. Lots of cool stuff to see on Oregon, 5 months out of the year when it's not IFR. Here is Smith Rocks, a world class climbing destination i flew over on the same trip.
