I’m at $55,000 that’s what I insured it for. I’m adding a deflector on fuel vent seems like I’m using more from right tank than left. I think it’s pressurizing the right tank pushing to left. At 2500 rpm indicating 110 mph, first fuel run was 6gph but that was a lot of takeoff and landing. Only 15 to 18 years since I flew tail wheel. I want 20 hours then oil chang and good look over and if alls well I’ll put it for sale. I will list here first the advertising elsewhere if needed. With half tanks today I was making 800 foot min climb at 70 keep in mind my field elevation is 810 Msl

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and Douglas lake another great day for flying.

Nope. I fly every day, but the camera stays on the ground. I 'll see if any of my buddies have photos.

After 55 yrs of life in New Jersey I finally made it to Ocean City Airport, New Jersey's only airport located on a barrier island!

I swore I was going to walk to Uncle Bill's Pancake House but ended up having awesome pumpkin walnut pancakes with a yuuuuge side of bacon from the food truck parked in the airport parking lot. I think I found my new favorite lunch spot. From N85 to 26N was about an hour each way with taxi time and everything factored in. Along the way I spoke with controllers for Class B, C, and D airspace and then landed in Class E! Woo hoo! lol

A little different view for Arizona -- a cloudy morning for a local sightseeing flight west of Phoenix.

You might have seen the national TV ads recently for United Airlines' "Aviate" academy. It's based at my home field GYR (Goodyear AZ), having taken over the facilities and Cirrus SR20 trainer fleet from the former Lufthansa school here. Some of the older Cirri still wear their old Lufthansa paint jobs. Aviate uses the fleet callsign "Varney xxx", remembering Varney Air Lines (1926-1934), United's earliest predecessor company. Here, Varney 832 departs from runway 3 at GYR.

Squeezing one more post for 2023 trips. This is a short video - of our trip to Chatham (Chape Cod) MA, demonstrating the cross country viability of these aircraft (or at least the 7ECA). Note the ability to pack 2 folding bikes, 2 adults, full fuel (allowing round trip flight) for a fun day trip.
