What did you do to your bird today?

Finished the last item on the to-do list today. Installed a closeout panel where the switch/fuse panel was previously located. Just waiting on good weather and a dry field to test run and fly.
Did you fabricate that panel or get it from ACA?

Did a layup on the interior door panel... and alot of other stuff too.

I managed to get the black on the door today, I also used superfill to soften the edges of the glass interior panel in prep for the covering.

Things are looking up. Starting to install glass, and the battery is in. All the lights work now.

Does making a tow bar adapter count? I picked up a like-new electric tug last year, one of these but it has a C-182 adapter on it

so I'm trying to make a new adapter since the tailwheel of the Pitts is too heavy for the company's adapters.

It's ready to be tacked and welded, then some plate pieces and a mounting plate to attach it to the tug. Then it's going to be powder coated orange and it'll be on to the next project. This might be the project where I finally teach myself to TIG weld.

update:this might not be the project where I teach myself to TIG weld. after some practice, it's obvious I need a lot more to make good looking welds and I'm on a schedule! lol
